Case Study: Jay Thiessens Owner of B and J Machine Shop

Watch the inspiring story of Jay Thiessens, in the video above. Below is a note about Jay’s story from Dr. Richard Meier, O.D., F.C.O.V.D.

Jay was a patient for a long time. He owned his own company B and J Machine shop.

On a Wednesday I was reading the Nevada State Journal and there was an article about Jay.  He declared that he could only read at a 2nd grade reading level. His teachers told him over and over again that he was stupid. I knew Jay was not stupid. On a Wednesday, I called him and did more testing and found that he couldn't do necessary accurate jump eye movements. I recommended that he do visual therapy.

After five weeks of visual therapy he was driving to work and he said his whole world opened up, he could see to the side as well as straight ahead, like "technicolor vision".  His reading tutor said he made great progress increasing over three years reading growth in three months.

His ability to do all the paperwork necessary for a bishop in his church became much easier.
